What is the TWINS Financial Hardship Service?

Our Financial Hardship Programme

We are a private, family-operated nursing company specialising in care for individuals with ileoanal pouches (ipouch) and stomas, as well as surgical wound care, and bowel and urinary continence. We are committed to providing all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances, with access to compassionate and expert support. To accommodate those experiencing financial hardship, we offer a range of payment options, enabling people to spread the cost and continue to receive high-quality services.

  • Tailored Payment Solutions

  1. Flexible Monthly Instalment Plans

    • For those who face some financial issues and simply need extra time to pay for their care, we offer instalment plans for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.

    • A single one-off £2 admin fee will be applied to cover processing costs.

    • No hidden interest beyond the admin fee.

    • We’ll work with you to set up a schedule that fits your budget.

  2. Discounted/reduced prices

  • We understand that some patients may face moderate financial hardship (for example, those relying on food banks or universal credit). To support you, we offer tailored payment solutions.

  • In these cases, we will discuss whether reduced fees or monthly instalments are most suitable, and what discounts we can reasonably accommodate as a family business.

  • Your contribution will be determined according to your individual financial circumstances.

  • To ensure this service reaches those who truly need it, we will ask for confirmation of financial status.

3. TWINS Care – Affordable Healthcare Subscriptions

  • Free-of-Charge Support

Free-of-charge or Pro Bono nursing support for those facing severe financial hardship – e.g. individuals who genuinely cannot afford any form of payment or instalments, such as those experiencing homelessness, or living in absolute poverty (lacking sufficient resources to meet basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing), etc.
To ensure this service reaches those who truly need it, we will ask for confirmation of financial status.

  • TWINS Appointment Raffles

Starting in early 2026, we’ll be launching TWINS appointment raffles where you can purchase unlimited tickets, and one lucky winner will receive a free appointment with one of our stoma and ipouch nurse specialists. The appointment can take place as a home visit in London, an in‑person consultation at our London clinic locations, or a virtual session via video or telephone call from the comfort of your home. You can contact our team for more information.

How We Fund This Service

We offer this support because we believe everyone deserves access to care, regardless of financial circumstance. To keep this programme available for those who genuinely need it, please only apply if you are experiencing real financial difficulty.

The financial hardship program is funded by:

  • Our own financial contributions.

  • Our clinicians' unpaid professional time and expertise.

  • Compassion, selflessness, and commitment to inclusive care.

  • Donations account for a minor portion of our financial hardship support.

If you or your loved ones are experiencing genuine financial difficulty, please know that this service is here for you. And if you are in a position to help us continue reaching those who need it most, we welcome your support with open hearts.

Starting January 2026, we will ask for confirmation of financial status to ensure this service is available to those who truly need it.

Self-Funded Financially Stable Clients & Health Insurance Clients

If you are financially stable or have access to private health insurance, we ask you to access our private Stoma or iPouch Nurse care via self-payment or insurance coverage. These self-funded streams help us sustain the services we provide, and allow us to dedicate more time, care and expertise to individuals facing genuine financial hardship.

By choosing private care, you are not only investing in high-quality, personalised support for yourself, but you’re also making space for someone else who truly cannot afford it.

Tailored Instalment Plans

We believe that everyone deserves the time, care, and expertise we provide, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we’ve introduced flexible instalment options to make our services more accessible.

You can choose to spread your costs over 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, depending on what works best for you. Each plan includes a small one-off £2 admin fee to help us process your payments efficiently while keeping costs manageable.

By selecting a tailored instalment plan, you're not just accessing our support, you’re helping sustain the very heart of what we do. Your commitment allows our team to invest deeper into each case, ensuring those facing hardship receive compassionate, expert care when they need it most.
